Kids Cook!™ Fall 2010 Class Schedule

Kids Cook!™ at Montessori    2 Places Available
September 8 - October 6, 2010   5 class series held each Wednesday 
3:30 – 4:30 pm   
Open to kids 4-5 years old
$70 Includes all ingredients, a recipe book, a cooking utensil and snacks. 

We practice making healthy snacks and meals.  In each class the children prepare one or two simple recipes, set the table and eat what they have made.  Each child has the opportunity to work through the process and practice the cooking skills.  The class includes some activity time for “Fitness Five” and "Mystery Tools" and reading time while snacks are cooking.    Children take home a recipe book, extra tastes and a cooking utensil.  Held at Little Rock Montessori School,  3704 N. Rodney Parham Road, LR  72212   Open to non-Montessori students.  Maximum enrollment:  12 students

 

Kids Cook!™   K – 4^th  Grade   Places Available
September 13 - October 18, 2010   6 class series held each Monday 
3:30 – 5 pm
Open to kids Kindergarten – 4^th grade
$90 plus $24 supplies fee    Includes a recipe book, cooking utensil and snack. 

New Recipes!  New Foods!  New Skills!  More Fun!  Kids Cook!™ classes combine fun, eating and learning.  Much more than just stirring, our emphasis is on skills, independence and nutrition.  Already tasted our classes?  There is much more to learn and do in this life skills class!  If you haven’t been to one of our classes, this is a great chance to find out what it is all about.  Come hungry!  Children take home a recipe book, extra tastes and a cooking utensil.  Offered through Pulaski Academy’s Fall 2010 Extras program and held at Pulaski Academy, 12701 Hinson Rd., LR  72212.  Open to non-PA students.  Maximum enrollment:  12 students

"Fall Harvest:  Apples"   Kids will concentrate on seasonal, easy-to-do-at-home recipes.   This class is designed to encourage independence, to nurture interest in cooking, develop skills and have fun!   Menu: Granny's Crunch, Cinnamon Apple Toast, Apple Cake    Kids take home the recipes, extra tastes and a cooking utensil.  Held at Eggshells, 5501 Kavanaugh Blvd.,  Suite K, LR   72207   Maximum enrollment:  8 students 

 

Kids Cook!™ and The Great Pumpkin

October!  The grocery stores are loaded with pumpkins and a half dozen other varieties of winter squash.   Kids will concentrate on easy-to-do-at-home savory and sweet recipes that include plenty of measuring and mashing.   This class is designed to encourage independence, to nurture interest in cooking, develop skills and have fun!  Menu:  Curried Pumpkin Scones, Roasted Carrots & Butternut Squash, Pumpkin Muffins with Chocolate Chips    Kids take home the recipes, extra tastes and a cooking utensil.  Held at Eggshells, 5501 Kavanaugh Blvd.,  Suite K, LR   72207  Maximum enrollment:  8 students
