Kids Cook!™ Winter 2010 Class Schedule

Kids Cook!™ classes are held year round.  September through May we offer after school and Saturday/Sunday afternoon classes.  Our week-long summer camps are in June, and during July we are at the River Market in Little Rock on Tuesdays.  We are closed in August and the last two weeks in December.

Kids Cook!™  at Eggshells   4 Places Available
Sunday, March 7, 2010
4:00 - 6:00 pm
Open to kids 8-12 years old
$40   Includes a recipe book, cooking utensil and snack

Kids will concentrate on making seasonal recipes.  Best of all: everything is easily do-able at home and adults will love these recipes.  This class is designed to encourage independence, to nurture interest in cooking, develop skills and have fun!  Kids take home the recipes, extra tastes and a cooking utensil.  Menu: Irish Soda Bread, Corn Fritters.  Held at Eggshells, 5705 Kavanaugh, LR   72207   Maximum enrollment:  8 students

Kids Cook!™  at Kitchen Co.    Places Available

Open to kids 8-12 years old

Kids Cook!™ Cancellation Policy:  Fees are due at the time of sign-up in order to reserve your place.  Participants may cancel up to 72 hours prior to the class and receive a refund minus a $10 administrative fee per student per class.  There are no make up classes.

The Boxcar Children Go Camping    
June 7-11, 2010   5 days
9 am – noon
Open to kids entering 2^nd – 4^th grades
$125 plus $37 supplies fee   Includes a recipe book, cooking utensil and snack 

Join the Boxcar Children at summer camp with activities including camping, cooking and solving a mystery.  All in an outdoor campsite setting, including tents!  We will use our reading and math skills to follow directions, learn camping and cooking safety rules, make treats and solve a Boxcar mystery.  Children take home a personalized recipe book, nature journal and snacks they have cooked.  Offered through Pulaski Academy’s Summer at the Academy program.  Held at 58 Valley Estates Ct., Pleasant Valley Estates.  Open to non-PA students.  Maximum enrollment:  10 students

 

Kids Cook!™ at Montessori
June 14-18, 2010     5 days
9 am – 10 am
Open to kids 4-5 years old
$45 paid by June 1^st, $50 after June 1^st
$15 supplies fee     Includes a recipe book, cooking utensil and snack

We practice making healthy snacks and meals.  In each class the children prepare one or two simple recipes, set the table and eat what they have made.  Each child has the opportunity to work through the process and practice the cooking skills.  The class is designed to encourage independence, develop skills, nurture interest in cooking and be fun.  Held at the Little Rock Montessori School, 3704 N. Rodney Parham Rd., LR.  Open to non-Montessori students.  Maximum enrollment:  12 students

 

Teens Cook!™     
June 14-18, 2010   5 days
1:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Open to teens ages 13 and up
$125 plus $47 supplies fee   Includes a recipe book, cooking utensil and snack

This class will offer teens a foundation in ingredients, methods and tools for both cooking and baking.  Our goal is to equip them for their own culinary exploration.  Teens:  Do you want to make what you want to eat?  We take requests.  If you sign up at least 10 days in advance we will make every effort to accommodate your individual interest.  Class includes a field trip to the grocery store.  Teens take home a personalized recipe book, extra tastes and a cooking utensil.  Offered through Pulaski Academy’s Summer at the Academy program.  Held at Kitchen Co., 11525 Cantrell Road, Pleasant Ridge Town Center, LR 72212    Open to non-PA students.  Maximum enrollment:  10 students

 

Kids Cook!™ Cooking, Cookbooks & More
June 21-25, 2010   5 days
9 am - noon   
Open to kids 9-12 years old
$125 plus $32 supplies fee   Includes a recipe book, cooking utensil and snack 

Choose the recipes, test the recipes, then put them into your own cookbook.  We will cook and bake in our recipe testing kitchen using Kids Cook!™ recipes and recipes from home, then put the recipes into our own custom designed cookbooks.  Kids take home a personalized recipe book, extra tastes and a cooking utensil.  Offered through Pulaski Academy’s Summer at the Academy program.  Held at Pulaski Academy, 12701 Hinson Rd., LR  72212     Open to non-PA students.  Maximum enrollment:  12 students

 

Kids Cook!™ Café   
June 28 – July 2, 2010   5 days
9 am -11 am
Open to kids 6-8 years old
$105 plus $32 supplies fee   Includes a recipe book, cooking utensil and snack 

Be the chef at your own restaurant!  Prepare, cook and serve your creations to your customers. Best of all: a different restaurant everyday!  This five day class is designed to encourage independence, to nurture interest in cooking, develop skills and have fun!  Children take home a personalized recipe book, extra tastes and a cooking utensil. Offered through Pulaski Academy’s Summer at the Academy program.  Held at Pulaski Academy, 12701 Hinson Rd., LR  72212    Open to non-PA students.  Maximum enrollment:  12 students
