Kids Cook!™ Summer 2009 Class Schedule

 

Kids Cook!™ classes are held year round.  September through May we offer after school and Saturday afternoon classes.  Our week-long summer camps are in June, and during July we are at the River Market in Little Rock on Tuesdays.  We are closed in August and the last two weeks in December.

Looking for adult classes?  Our next wine tasting and cooking workshop offered by Uncorked Live!™, our sister venture for adults, will be Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 at Boulevard Bread Cafe in the River Market.  The theme is TBD.  Email Uncorked Live!™ to be added to our email distribution list to receive schedule updates.

Kids Cook!™ Summer 2009 Camp Schedule

Kids Cook!™ Café    Closed
June 29 – July 3, 2009   5 days
9 am - noon
Open to kids entering 1^st – 3^rd grades 
$105 plus $27 supplies fee   Includes a recipe book, cooking utensil and snack 

Be the chef at your own restaurant!  Prepare, cook and serve your creations to your customers. Best of all: a different restaurant everyday!  This five day class is designed to encourage independence, to nurture interest in cooking, develop skills and have fun!  Children take home a personalized recipe book, extra tastes and a cooking utensil. Offered through Pulaski Academy’s Summer at the Academy program.  Held at Pulaski Academy, 12701 Hinson Rd., LR  72212    Open to non-PA students.  Maximum enrollment:  14 students

 

Around the World to Africa:  Recipes from Ghana & Ethiopia   Just Added

Kids Cook!™ is collaborating with Heifer Village in Little Rock to offer a cooking class featuring an African menu.  Here is an opportunity to sample food from cultures that are millennia old.  Come and cook with us at the new Heifer Village in downtown Little Rock and experience Africa through its food.  This hands-on class will create some typical dishes.  Kids eat what they have made in class and take home the recipes and extra tastes.  Menu: Jollof Rice, Plantains and Injera (Ethiopian flatbread), plus seasonal fruit.  This class will be held at Heifer Village, 1 World Avenue, Little Rock, 72202.  To register, contact heifervillage-registration@heifer.org or call 501-907-COWS (2697).  Not familiar with the new Heifer Village?  Click here for Hot in Little Rock's review of the experience.

Summer cooking fun at a great location!  Now in our 5th year, our River Market program is expanded and improved this summer!  This year we offer smaller classes, more classes and two separate age groups! 

This class is totally hands on.  Kids eat what they make and take home recipes and extra tastes. Sign up for one class or more.  Recipes are different each week.  Advance registration is required.

River Market Cancellation Policy:  Fees are due at the time of sign up in order to reserve your place.  Participants may cancel up to 72 hours prior to the class and receive a refund minus a $10 per participant administrative fee.  You may substitute another participant and avoid the fee.  There are no make up classes.
