“Eating is my favorite part of cooking. I liked everything!” Madison – age 11
We offer nutrition-based cooking workshops for kids ages 4 and up, including a
variety of summer camps. We are dedicated to inspiring kids to
learn and to enjoy healthy eating through hands-on cooking experience.
Our goal is to promote healthy, balanced eating through education and
experience. We also offer a selection of adult workshops and customized
community service events.
Our kids classes (Yes, we offer adult classes too!) are designed for kids to practice kitchen skills, learn about kitchen equipment, and includes food and personal safety. The kid friendly recipes are chosen so that the kids can do them themselves once they get home. They get to eat or take home their own creations. Fostering independence is a main goal, as is having fun.
Our menus emphasize fresh ingredients, locally grown when possible. We serve fresh fruit plus milk or water with all menus. Nutrition education is a major component of our curriculums and our curriculums are tracked to health and wellness frameworks for the State of Arkansas.
For schools we offer:
*After school enrichment programs as either one time events or as a
series
*Special, one time programs to support specific history and literature
curricula. The Around the World series includes African, French,
Greek, Irish, Italian, Mexican and Japanese cooking and eating events.
*Healthy Snack/Eating Programs
For specific information on how to bring these programs to your school,

Our Kids Cookin' for a Cause! program gives kids the opportunity to
practice their kitchen skills while earning community service hours.
